On that occasion, though she saved the world, her actions began the age of darkness. But from this comes the core tenant of Sarenrae. "The dawn will come." The age of darkness ended, and, slowly, good returned to the world. The goddess of untold eons teaches that there is always hope. Sarenrae is a goddess of the purifying flame, the light that burns away the darkness, but leaves behind something better. She teaches compassion and peace except in the direst of circumstances, where innocents would be harmed through inaction. At that moment she requires a swift cut, with no hesitation.
