Clarifications and Adjudications

### Alignment
Alignment in Wrath of the Righteous is very definitely the result of actions, not intent. That your, and others, alignment can be different from what they want it to be is key to understanding the functions of abilities such as Atonement, Phylacteries of Faithfulness and the ability for a Paladin to fall.
### Summoned Monsters
##### Summoned Monster Behaviour
Summoned monsters are loyal to you. They will sacrifice themselves to save you, but not on a whim. Summoned monsters retain their alignment and personality. They will attempt to aid you, but they will do it their way. (A Bralini will not murder children to accomplish your goals. A Babau might do so even when it isn’t actually necessary)
##### Expanded Summon Monster Lists
* Expanded summons granted by deities are, unless obviously unbalanced, accepted.
* The Expanded Summon Monster feat does not change the alignment of the creature summoned
* Other appropriate creatures may be permitted as part of Expanded Summon Monster or Summon Alignment Monster if they have been released in later works. This will require consultation in advance of the session in which they are summoned
### Illusions
**Interaction:** This involves doing something to which the illusion must respond. At the simplest level, this is usually touching the illusion, as it cannot provide a reciprocating force. But on the same tone, if a silent illusion of a dragon breathes fire on somebody and they do not experience heat or injury, they get a will save.
**Inspection:** I also consider inspection to be an interaction. This is when somebody knows or suspects an illusion on an intellectual level they may attempt a will save against an illusion. This might occur if somebody else claims that something is an illusion. If they (or something they can perceive) aren't currently interacting with the illusion in a way that it cannot respond to, this takes a standard action.
**Effects of a successful Will save:** A successful will save allows the target to ignore the effects of the illusion. They may choose whether or not they perceive the illusion at any given moment
Whether or not they have made, or succeeded, on a will save, a character may recognise that they are seeing an illusion intellectually, but without a save this does not make them immune to it's effects (an illusion of fire with a thermal component is still a deterrent to someone who has failed their will save. Burns or no, it's going to hurt)
### Outsiders and Conjuration
**Summoning:** A summoned creature is a new entity, upon it's destruction, or the spell's end the creature ceases to exist. Despite this, the creature is a true example of it's kind in terms of it's composition and behaviour.
**Calling:** A creature that is called to a plane other than it's own is a genuine example of it's kind. Possessed of history, and motivations beyond it's instincts. Specific creatures can be called as well as general examples of kind. Most importantly Calling spells are instantaneous (Though the bindings they create can have a duration, these are part of the nature of outsiders, not the spells themselves). It is impossible to dismiss or dispel a calling. Once the terms of a binding or planar alliance are concluded this same nature gives the outsider a choice. Stay, or Return. They are not compelled to leave the material plane once called, though they must find their own means of returning later if they lack the capacity themselves. Particularly in the case of Planar Bindings a creature may stay if only to enable it's revenge.
**Extraplanar Creatures:** Not all outsiders are extraplanar (see native outsiders) and not all extraplanar creatures are Outsiders. Spells such as Banishment affect the extraplanar subtype, NOT OUTSIDERS.
**Death:** Death for an outsider is the same regardless of their current status as an extra-planar entity. That being dies. Any knowledge, any grudges it bore, are gone.
An outsider does not leave a corpse. Their soul and body are one entity and upon it's destruction it is dispered, eventually reintegrating with the plane matching it's alignment which will, in time, spawn a new outsider. Thus the killing of common demons and such does little to blunt the power of the abyss. But those demons who have learned, gained in power beyond their outsider nature or are integral to plans or politics do grant a very real, if small in the grand scale of things, shift in balance of the planes.
